Glycolic Acid PeelThis kit is so easy to use! Just wipe your skin with the Pre-Peel Solution, brush on the peel serum, wait one to 4 minutes, rinse and neutralize. Do this once a week and you're on your way to having the beautiful, glowing skin you've always wanted!

50% Glycolic Acid Peel is much stronger than 30% Glycolic Acid Peel. If this is your first time to use a chemical peel, we recommend that you start with the 30% Glycolic Peel to get your skin used to the acid. The exception is if you have extremely oily skin. Oily skin is more resistant to the acid, and therefore people with very oily skin should use the 50% Glycolic Peel.

Customize Your Peel

The Ph of this 50% peel is 1.75. Our glycolic peels are completely customizable to your skin's sensitivity. The peel should sting, and possibly feel warm, but you should be able to leave it on for one full minute the first time you use it. To customize your peel, put about 1/2 teaspoon in a saucer or bowl and try a little on your chin. Wait 20 seconds and if the peel feels too strong to leave on for one minute, put two or three drops of the Neutralizer in the peel serum. If you have over-neutralized the peel, add another drop or two of peel serum until the peel is not too strong to leave on for one full minute. Be sure to rinse the test spot and apply Neutralizer!

What type of skin problems can a glycolic peel help?

  1. Acne
  2. Aging skin
  3. Uneven skin tone
  4. Dry, thickened, calloused feet
  5. Excessive sebum
  6. Slight scarring
  7. Stubborn blackheads and whiteheads
  8. Sun spots
  9. Fine lines and wrinkles

Terasita Skin Care glycolic acid peels contain cosmetic grade, organic glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid derived from sugarcane that does a wonderful job of exfoliating and resurfacing the skin. In recent years, glycolic acid has become popular in cosmetic preparations because of its beneficial effects on skin through its deep exfoliating and moisturizing properties. As we age, dead skin cells build up on the skin's surface, causing our pores to clog and our skin to look dull and lifeless. Our glycolic acid peels exfoliate the surface of the skin, removing several layers of dead skin cells. This deep exfoliation greatly improves the appearance of fine lines, acne, very slight scarring, blotchiness, and sun damage. The hydrating properties of glycolic acid then leave your skin looking fresher and younger. When used regularly, Terasita Skin Care glycolic acid peels have the ability to improve dry, thickened, sun-damaged and problem-prone skin. After just one week of use, skin is softer and smoother, pigmentation is improved, and pores seem smaller. Studies have also shown that glycolic acid products also stimulate natural collagen production, resulting in measurable improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Using glycolic products can also help your other products penetrate better for more effectiveness.

How often should I use a glycollic acid peel?

We recommend that you use Terasita Skin Care 50% Glycolic Acid Peel Serum once a week for 6 weeks in order to achieve glowing skin! Then you should skip two to three weeks and begin using the peel every other week for the next two months. After that, you should do the peel once a month or as needed for special occasions. However, if you have dry skin, you should only use the peel every other week to start and taper down to once a month after 6 weeks. Why? Because over-exfoliation can make your skin more dry, which you don't want to do.

Does it hurt?

It is common to experience stinging when you use this product. That is the glycolic acid working to break down and remove dead skin cells. The peel solution is on your skin for such a short time that most people do not find the stinging to be unbearable.

What happens after the peel?

A few days after using 50% Glycolic Acid Peel Serum, you should notice some slight flaking of your skin, similar to peeling after a mild sunburn. Not everyone experiences this flaking though. People who regularly use moisturizers, exfoliators or other glycolic products may not see any flaking. Also, people with very oily skin may not see any flaking. BECAUSE THE PEEL REMOVES A LARGE QUANTITY OF DEAD SKIN CELLS AT THE TIME YOU USE IT, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO EXPERIENCE FLAKING FOR THE PEEL TO WORK.

If you have sensitive skin, we recommend that you use 30% Glycolic Acid Peel kit. It works the same way that the 50% serum does, but since it contains less acid, it is gentler on your skin. However, if you have very oily skin, you should use the 50% Glycolic Peel Kit because oily skin is more resistant to the acid. Both of our glycolic acid peel kits come with a silky neutralizer solution to return your skin to its proper Ph level.

Before and After Photos

These are unretouched photos of a real customer who has used our glycolic peel plus the 30% Glycolic Cream for 3 months. This lady is 67 years old. She is not wearing any makeup in either photo. In the Before picture on the left, her skin is brown, dull, the age spots are very dark, and she has pronounced lines above her lips. As can be seen in the After photo on the right, her skin looks much smoother, lighter, brighter, the age spots are lighter, and the fine lines above her lips are gone. The peels have taken years off her face. Isn't she beautiful!
